questions
I have so many questions I need to figure out and answer for myself. Do I want just a blog as my website? That seems to be popular these days in the craft world. Or do I want a full website with a simple blog to compliment it?
I really wish I could figure out how to be more creative with iWeb. I used to be so good with websites many years ago, but I have lost my spark with HTML since then. I wish the interweb was like my sewing machine. I am decent with that now.

meet matt
That is how he used to look, but since graduation, he has been causing chaos on the mean streets of Orange County.
Being the crime fighter that I am, I must save the world one
So, now he is back to the original Matt I met years ago...
...and his thumbs up are still better than mine. However, his glasses are not.

a new crop - i'm so proud
I got down to business for a few hours this afternoon and I made a whole new crop of feather hair clips. These might be my favorites thus far.
And here are two that got me in a somewhat Valentine's Day spirit... even though I have mixed feelings for that so-called holiday.
For some reason, I find the oddest (and sometimes awkward) work spaces for myself. This time around, I have been using a plastic tub of old VHS tapes.

sunny 80 degrees to raining buckets
The weather was unbelievably hot yesterday, and today... it poured rain all afternoon and evening. I took this perfect opportunity to stay inside and do a little cooking and crafting. I made more feather clips and headbands. I even listed two of them on my etsy! Unbelievable.

crybaby
Bride Wars, on the other hand, was definitely cute... but not typically what I would venture out to see. My friend really wanted to see it, and I can't pass up another outing to the movie theatre. There I was, by the end of the movie, with glassy wet eyes. Why do the craziest of movie keep driving me to tears.
I am silly.

no background necessary
Alas, we continue to have no background image. Then it hit me: what this blog is missing is frequent posts.
In other news, I can't stop thinking about the most delicious salad I ate at The Living Room in La Jolla this afternoon.

late night starbucks run for internet
I am all moved into the new house in Spring Valley. I just need a few more shelves and I can start getting back to creating! The whole reason I moved away was to hide out and create, but I haven't been able to do too much of that yet.
No time like the present...

Speaking of the store, my cousin-in-law, Collette, bought one of my purses off me today. I was so excited to see an email from Etsy and PayPal about the order. She purchased one of my cutest beauties. It is a little springtime purse with turquoise sugar skulls and pinkish hearts.
Oh! And last week I finally sent the XL version of "i can count to pink" clutch to the wonderful Veronica. She asked me to custom design her a larger version of that clutch. It came out very roomy and cute. I hope she likes it.
Until tomorrow...

made a sale last week!
So, I woke up one morning last week and checked my email (first thing I always do when I wake up), and to my surprise, I sold something! Sh33 in Las Vegas bought this beauty which I've been trying to sell since forever. It was also the most viewed item in my shop. I am so happy that handbag has a new home. She said she loved the inside lining which is this fun green bandaid fabric. I through in an extra goodie in her package. I made that felt heart bandaid brooch to the right for her.
I have become re-addicted to felt recently. I can't stop making little felt hairclips and brooches. I also made a series of wristlets last weekend which all have different felt applique shapes on the front. Felt is definately part of my future.

oh so popular skinny jeans
I'm not sure if you know this, but I have been so disappointed with the cast of Project Runway. Season 4 really has no one that stands out to me. I love Christian, but all in all, no one can compare to those from Season 2.
So, I spent this afternoon running around Oceanside trying to find Season 2 of Project Runway on DVD. After going to Best Buy, Target, and Suncoast (only to discover it has shut down), finally Barnes & Noble proudly carried this DVD set. I was so excited.
I've been wanting to turn my old pairs of jeans into skinny jeans for a while, but I've been to scared. I put on my new Project Runway DVDs for inspiration and got to work on an old baggy pair of Sevens. The finish product is to the right. It kind of puckers in the thigh, but I am happy with my outcome.

hearts after valentine's
Since my boyfriend left for deployment last month, I've been crafting now more than ever. I should write about it.
For some reason I haven't been in the mood to make anything big. Instead, the past couple of days, I've plopped myself in front of the television and cut out little felt hearts. I finally practiced some embroidery from Doodle Stitching instead of just browsing through all the cute projects like I always do.
I made four heart shaped hair snap clips and one brooch. Making these while watching Lost was my St. Valentine's Day treat to myself. And now that my boyfriend is somewhere on a ship somewhere in the middle of the Asian Pacific, these cute little hearts brightened my day.
