My good friend and long lost twin, Benny, asked me to hem several pairs of cut-off shorts made from men's trousers. I've never sewn on such thick polyester fabric before and it is probably the easiest fabric ever to work with. I really wanted a picture of him wearing them so you could see how short they really are. He's got nice legs, he can pull it off.

halloween spirit take over!
I've had this rush of Halloween excitement lately. Last week, I had this idea for a orange and black tote bag. A just for fun tote bag for this month use only. So, I drove as quickly as possible to Joann's and grabbed all the materials that caught my eye. Most the time when I make something, it just happens organically. So, I am at Joann's and first I grab this Alexander Henry fabric that I was eyeing at Sowing Sisters the week before. It's called Pumpkin Party and there are these angry looking cats on it. It's amazing. I also picked up some orange tool, black black vinyl, and some rick rack. Here is the finish product:
